to get out of town!
Candy and I made the trip to Apple Hill over the weekend for a quick little get away. So FUN!
We took the scenic route on the way there (by the way, if you're in a hurry or prone to car sickness avoid hwy49). It was a really beautiful drive though.
Candy is slowly trying to make me GREEN in any way possible. Organics, recycling, you name it and she's trying it. I have been pretty open minded for a little country girl who grew up thinking recycling was just another way people tried to make $$ (whats all this saving the earth business?)
I tried new fruit on this trip... Asian Pears and Persimmons.

It made so much more sense at the time.We were at a brewery, what can I say?
Now that is a BIG pumpkin. All 1153lbs of it.
We topped the trip off with dinner in Folsom.MMmmm... the best raspberry Mojito EVER!
Then we stopped by the fire station before our drive home to see my HOT firefighter boyfriend and check out where he works.

What fun! Apple Hill is pretty amazing. Travis' family lives all around there so we get to visit at least once a year. Totally worth the scary road!
